For over 3,000 years, penguins have ruled the icy realm of Iluliaq. But one day, the penguin king disappeared. Seals, polar bears, and other flightless birds discovered an ancient legend etched in the ice:“Whoever conquers the Iceberg will be crowned the new king.”

Before starting a game of Iluliaq (which means“Iceberg”in Inuit), players must build the iceberg: a central structure made with cards and the game box. Then players take turns throwing their cards, trying to land them on top of the iceberg.

When a card successfully lands on the iceberg, the player's turn ends immediately. But if the card falls into the water (any part that is not the top of the iceberg is considered water) or pushes other cards into the water, the player must pick up all the fallen cards and add them to their hand.

Some cards include special Powers that activate when they land on the iceberg. For example, when the bear lands on the iceberg, it can eat the first card placed directly on top, forcing that player to draw a card from the central deck. The seal is another special animal: if it falls from the iceberg, it stays in the water instead of returning to the player's hand.

The first player to run out of cards in their hand wins the game.
